Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CVFox (cvfox.app) and all related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by CVFox ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CVFox. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at security@cvfox.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • You may not share your account or credentials with others.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CVFox to:

  • Upload or submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise access the Service in an unauthorised manner.
  • Distribute malware, spam, or any harmful code.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent (e.g. reselling CV generation as a service).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

4. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the CV content you create in CVFox. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your CV content. CVFox does not verify the truthfulness of any information you enter.

5. AI-Generated Content

CVFox's AI features produce suggestions to assist your writing. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and taking ownership of any AI-generated content before using it. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI suggestions for any particular purpose, including job applications.

6. Shared CV Links

When you generate a public or password-protected CV link, you are responsible for controlling who has access to it. CVFox is not responsible for any consequences arising from you sharing a link with unintended recipients.

7. Intellectual Property

All elements of the CVFox platform — including its design, code, templates, branding, and copy — are the exclusive property of CVFox and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

8. Beta Service

CVFox is currently in beta. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, be removed, or be unavailable at times. We will communicate material changes in advance where reasonably possible.

9. Paid Plans & Billing

CVFox is currently free. When paid plans are introduced, pricing, billing cycles, and refund policies will be published on our Pricing page and communicated to existing users at least 30 days in advance. Charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVFox is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

CVFox does not guarantee employment outcomes. The Service is a tool to assist in creating CV documents; success in job applications depends on many factors outside our control.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CVFox and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $10 if you have paid nothing).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CVFox harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your CV content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of the jurisdiction in which CVFox operates.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
